Directions from the main station

You can reach the University by subway. The U35 will take you almost directly to the campus in about 10 minutes. Therefor, you will have to take the U35 (towards Hustadt) and exit at the station "Ruhr-Universität, Bochum". By crossing the "Dr.-Gerhard-Petschelt-Bridge" you will get directly to the Campus.

All Non-EU citizens require a visa. However, a visa is not required for visits of up to 90 days in an 180‑day period for nationals of those countries for which the European Community has abolished the visa requirement.

You may apply for short stay visas (Schengen Visas) at diplomatic missions of the German Federal Foreign Office.

Temperatures drop noticeably compared to September. An average of 9.2 degrees is still achieved, so warm clothing is a “must have” in October.
