The Annual Conference of the Association for General and Applied Microbiology from 14-17 March 2027 at the Philipps-Universität in Marburg, Germany is currently in the planning stage. Only a few details are still being prepared for you, so that we will be able to provide you with the registration conditions and further information here shortly.
All information is expected to be available from the August 2026 and registration will be possible from this date.
Travel grant for VAAM student members
Deadline 6 November 2026
VAAM travel grants to the annual conference can be applied for under the following conditions:
- student member of VAAM
- active participation in the conference (poster presentation or oral presentation)
- max. 3 travel grants per working group.

Childcare
The conference is planned to offer childcare again.
If you are interested in childcare, please indicate this when registering.
Please note: Registrations for childcare are possible until 10 January 2027. This is an evaluation of need. If not enough people are interested in childcare by 10 January, it will unfortunately not be possible to offer childcare for organisational reasons. Thank you for your understanding.
