About Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH

The de.NBI (German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure) helps you analyse your data.

de.NBI provides the bioinformatics infrastructure needed to process, analyse and store the large data sets that arise in current life science research, and offers training in the relevant skills. We offer over 150 cutting-edge bioinformatics services, a wide range of bioinformatics training courses, specialised computing resources (de.NBI Cloud), and an industry forum for life scientists. Key thematic areas include microbial, human and plant research in genomics, metagenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, systems biology, research data management, and biological databases recognised as global core biodata resources.

Since 2015, the de.NBI has been a distributed academic network of 24 partner institutions, initially funded as a BMBF project and now continuing under the coordination of Forschungszentrum Jülich. At the European level, we form the German node of ELIXIR.
